Closure Details, Office Hours & School Assignments

March 17, 2020: Classes at Green Inspiration Academy are canceled beginning on Monday, March 16, 2020, as part of an extended closure which will last for at least three weeks as ordered by Gov. Mike DeWine due to the coronavirus.

The expectation is that students will have all of their work completed upon returning to school. Students without internet access will be provided a hard copy from their teachers upon returning to school and will be allotted adequate time to complete the assignments.

Beginning on Tuesday March 17, 2020 students will be given classroom assignments to complete at home during the duration of the closure, which is expected to last at least through April 3, 2020.

Academic K-8 learning packets with a focus on Mathematics, English Language Arts, Science and Social Studies can also be picked-up if you have been notified by your student’s teacher or Campus Principal. Otherwise, all assignments are on line at
Students and staff will not be expected to work/complete assignments during the district’s normally scheduled Spring Break, March 23-27.

Since students will be completing assignments at home, classes will not have to be extended into the summer. All school events, athletic practices and games, clubs, meetings, etc. are canceled until further notice. There will be no student events during the required school closure period.

Temporary Free Child Care

In order to assist our families during state-ordered closure, free childcare is being provided through the Scholar House for Green Inspiration Academy Students. The Scholar House operates in our school during the normal year.

In order to qualify, parents must be employed in “Health Safety Essential Services.” Examples are: Nurses; Home Health Aides; STNA’s; Nursing Homes; Hospitals; Clinics; Security Guards; EMT; Firefighters; Banking; Postal Workers; Utility Workers; etc.

A “grab-and-go” breakfast and lunch will be served, Monday – Friday, from 9 a.m. – 12:30 pm.

When: Weekdays- March 18 – May 1, 2020.
Where: We will be handing meals out, grab & go style at the Green Inspiration Academy Boys Campus at 4265 Northfield Road in Highland, Hills Ohio in the rear school entrance. Cafeterias will not be open for dining. Curbside pick-up will be available.

To help us better prepare, please let us know if you need breakfast and/or lunch for your students. We will deliver both breakfast and lunch at the same time.

Simple and convenient preparation items will be provided in a “drive-through” or walk-up method, such as sandwiches, bowl-packs for cereal, and whole or individual serving fruits/vegetables, including liquid milk

Students must be present to get their meals. More resources will be posted soon!

Girl’s Campus
Tuesday and Thursday 9-1pm
March 17 and March 19th
March 31rst and April 2nd
March 23-27th Closed for Spring Break
